Happy Birthday Medicare!

Today Syracuse community members celebrated the Medicare program on its 46th birthday — and urged that Medicare be expanded, not contracted. Health care is a human right: we want Medicare for all. Speakers talked about how cuts to Medicare particularly hurt the working class, women, and immigrants. The rally culminated when we sang “Happy Birthday” and ate birthday cake (well, birthday cookie).
