Verizon workers have been on strike since Sunday, August 7, around the country, including here in central New York. Members of CWA and IBEW are on the picket line resisting Verizon’s attempt to take bake $20,000 from each worker every year despite huge profits — and enormous compensation packages for top executives.
Solidarity Committee members joined Verizon workers on an information picket before the strike, and are continuing to join the picket line as the strike continues.
To support Verizon workers, you can:
- Sign CWA’s online petition here.
- E-mail Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam
- Join a picket at a Verizon store (or contact the Solidarity Committee, email@example.com, to learn about group visits to the picket line)
